PHP Developer

ITFS is a consulting company from the Tricity area with a branch in Warsaw. They focus primarily on IT specialist recruitment and creating project-based Software Houses for clients from Poland and Western Europe.

• Minimum 3-4 years of commercial experience as a PHP Developer
• Expert knowledge of modern PHP (version 8.2+)
• Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns without using frameworks (experience with Vanilla PHP)
• Ability to design scalable application architecture and create stable API interfaces (REST / GraphQL)
• Practical knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (Redis, Elasticsearch)
• Practical experience with DevOps tools and process automation: containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipeline configuration (GitLab CI, Jenkins), and public clouds (AWS, GCP)
• Strong focus on code quality supported by experience in automated testing (PHPUnit)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Redis
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Experience with CI/CD

• Develop full-cycle new functionalities and actively participate in all stages of software development
• Maintain and optimize the existing portal
• Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, refactor legacy code, and independently solve complex production issues
• Ensure architecture and code quality
• Make key architectural decisions, implement and enforce coding standards (e.g., PSR), and conduct constructive code reviews
• Design and build all key modules and functionalities using native PHP
• Collaborate within an international development team

Work location: 100% remote from Poland Start: ASAP with preferred maximum 1 month notice period Initial onboarding (first 2 weeks) from 15:00 to 23:00 CET, later flexible/standard hours with required partial availability in the USA afternoon time zone
