Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Fibertide designs, maintains, and develops large-scale cloud systems for companies from the U.S. and Europe. Their customers include startups and established businesses requiring assistance with technologies supporting large user bases, big datasets, and rapid growth. They employ engineers with strong mathematical and computer science backgrounds.

• At least 6 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems for web applications, data pipelines, or other services.
• Thorough familiarity with AWS and GCP services, including best practices and effective use.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code paradigms such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
• Strong programming skills regardless of technology choice.
• Up-to-date knowledge of cloud trends and ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Proficiency in mathematics, theoretical computer science, and advanced algorithms.
• Deep experience with software optimization, networking concepts, operating systems, and low-level optimization.
• Excellent communication skills for representing the company before partners.
• Ability to lead a small team, organize work, and prioritize to meet client business expectations.

Nice to have:

• Significant experience managing complex Kubernetes clusters.
• Knowledge of cloud service providers other than AWS and GCP.
• A degree in theoretical Computer Science.

• Designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure for complex, large-scale systems and developing specialized data-processing software.
• Advising customers and their development teams on cloud-native solutions.
• Developing in-house utilities for managing cloud systems.
• Providing technical and business guidance within projects alongside Cloud Architects.
• Managing cooperation with clients.
• Solving unconventional technical challenges that others cannot tackle.
