Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Computer Science

Fibertide employs engineers with strong mathematical and computer science backgrounds. The company designs, maintains and develops large-scale cloud systems for companies from the U.S. and Europe, serving startups and established businesses requiring large userbase and big data solutions.

• At least 6 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems for web applications, data pipelines, or other services
• Thorough familiarity with AWS and GCP services, knowledge of best practices, and ability to leverage them fully
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code paradigm using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef
• Strong programming skills regardless of technology choice
• Up-to-date with newest cloud trends and fast learner of new tools and technologies
• Proficient in mathematics and theoretical computer science, including advanced algorithms
• Experienced with software optimization, networking concepts, operating systems, and low-level optimization
• Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the company
• Ability to lead a small team, organizing their work and priorities to match client’s business expectations

Bonus points if you:

• Have significant experience managing complex Kubernetes clusters
• Have detailed knowledge of cloud service providers other than AWS and GCP
• Hold a degree in theoretical Computer Science

• Designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructure for complex, large-scale systems
• Developing specialized data-processing software
• Advising customers and their development teams on cloud-native solutions
• Developing in-house utilities for managing cloud systems
• Providing technical and business guidance within projects in cooperation with Cloud Architects
• Taking care of cooperation with clients
