Senior Software Engineer - JVM, Kotlin

They design and build bespoke data platforms and unique software products, creating and deploying intelligent systems. The company partners with enterprise, government, and global technology clients, with locations including London, Sydney, San Francisco, New Zealand, and Poland.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Consultative approach to software development and engineering.
• Core foundation in programming, especially in JVM languages (particularly Kotlin or Java).
• Experience designing and implementing data-driven APIs.
• Exposure to frontend development using React.js, Tailwind, REDUX, and Typescript.
• Past project experience with large scale webservices.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud, Azure.
• Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) experience such as with Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• In-depth experience with unit and integration testing and test automation; familiarity with TDD and/or BDD.
• Experience working with SQL databases for API implementation and database schema design.

Nice to have:

• Passion and proven ability to adopt new technologies quickly.
• Exposure to Scala or functional programming.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, HBase, BigTable, or Cosmos DB.
• Familiarity with Git workflows and customization.
• Experience with containerized deployment using Docker, Amazon ECS, Kubernetes.

• Design and technically develop backend services for a highly scalable marketing platform.
• Design APIs, applications, and infrastructure, documenting technical requirements and design for clients.
• Deliver and support build, automation, deployment, and operations for developed solutions.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and team members to gather and translate business requirements into technical design.
• Operate within an iterative delivery team using Agile tools and practices.
• Hybrid remote and in-person collaboration with delivery team and client stakeholders.
