Tech Lead & Business Ops (Digital Nomad Job)

WiFi Tribe is a global community and startup that connects remote professionals through coliving/coworking retreats, a Slack community, and an exclusive app for meeting in person worldwide. The company has brought together 2,500 nomads in 80 cities and focuses on supporting remote professionals' travel and work experiences.

• Experience with payment integrations and CRM platforms to streamline workflows and optimise business processes.
• Experience integrating external APIs and services to enhance functionality and performance.
• At least 2 years of server administration and management experience including maintaining and optimising server environments.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with database management, preferably with PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience running and maintaining custom web applications.

Nice to have:

• 2+ years experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with low code and automation tools such as Zapier.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with web application development workflows, preferably involving Python, Django, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of SysOps/DevOps best practices.
• Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Metabase.
• Experience working in remote or digital nomad cultures.

Technical Ownership:

• Take full ownership of WiFi Tribe’s tech stack, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Define and oversee the architecture and workflows for the booking platform, focusing on design and ensuring seamless development execution.
• Design, implement, and optimise integrations with third-party systems to enhance functionality.

Collaboration & Automation:

• Partner with operations, marketing, and other teams to identify areas for workflow automation and implement solutions.
• Collaborate across departments to align technology with business needs.

System Design & Problem-Solving:

• Plan and execute development of a custom Property Management System or evaluate and implement third-party solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure or application issues to maintain productivity and system stability.
• Manage technical projects from concept to completion, ensuring communication and timely delivery.
