Senior Data Engineer (Kafka)

FUN CRAFTERS SP. Z O O. operates in the mobile RPG gaming industry, building data platforms to power gameplay insights and LiveOps decisions.

• Expertise in event streaming technologies such as Kafka and real-time data processing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering building scalable data platforms and pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python; experience with Scala is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, schema design, partitioning, and versioning.
• Experience with cloud platforms GCP, AWS, or Azure and modern data stack tools.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Ability to architect systems from MVP to high-volume production.
• Comfortable contributing to architectural discussions and technical decisions.
• Passion for gaming.

Nice to have:

• Experience in gaming, mobile products, or other high-event-volume environments.
• Knowledge of BI tools and analytics workflows.
• Familiarity with observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing, and data quality frameworks.

• Design and build analytics platform for gameplay insights, LiveOps, and telemetry.
• Develop and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Collaborate with analysts and game teams to understand and implement data needs.
• Define data quality standards and build automated monitoring and alerting systems.
• Promote engineering best practices including observability, testing, performance optimization, cost awareness, and reliability.
