Senior (Staff) Penetration Tester

Snowflake is a global organization designing a cloud data platform that combines data warehousing, big data flexibility, and cloud elasticity. It powers the Data Cloud enabling thousands of organizations to unlock data value at scale, concurrency, and performance.

• 5+ years of experience in penetration testing across any cloud.
• Expertise finding and exploiting bugs in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Python, or C++.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Cloud Native Systems and Applications, AI Agents and Agentic workloads, Client Side Applications, Micro Services, Database Systems, Drivers, Connectors, and Web Applications.
• Solid understanding of technologies supporting applications and systems to assess risk impact.
• Ability to develop new attack methods beyond reliance on tools.
• Strong communication skills and experience working closely with developers and security engineers.
• Experience balancing security and business demands while performing penetration testing for products nearing release.

• Perform penetration testing engagements against diverse cloud environments.
• Set scope, priority-based test plans, and timelines for penetration testing.
• Develop testing approaches for new applications, technologies, protocols, and controls without existing methodologies.
• Collaborate with security and engineering teams to manage product releases and communicate findings.
• Partner with Product Security engineers to drive reviews, designs, and controls.
• Advocate for and support security processes in the SDLC beyond penetration testing.
• Develop automated security testing tools and automation frameworks to improve scalability and reduce recurring vulnerabilities.
