Staff Product Designer - Consumer

• 7+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showing exceptional craft and impact, especially in mobile app experiences.
• Proven ability to lead design direction for large, complex product areas and deliver high-quality results.
• Strong UX and visual design skills, solving ambiguous problems with clarity and elegance.
• Advanced prototyping skills to communicate complex interactions effectively.
• Experience influencing product strategy and cross-functional decisions at team or organizational levels.
• Strong systems thinking and experience contributing to or evolving design systems at scale.
• Ability to mentor and elevate other designers through feedback and collaboration.
• Data-informed mindset balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate and defend design decisions.
• Deep understanding of human-centered design principles and research methods.
• Experience designing trading or financial products is a plus.

• Set and elevate the design vision across key product areas, defining standards and driving execution.
• Lead the design of complex, ambiguous problem spaces into clear, elegant, scalable user experiences.
• Raise the industry bar with visually rich, forward-thinking designs that enhance Kraken’s brand.
• Shape and evolve Kraken’s design system and visual language to ensure product consistency and scalability.
• Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to influence product strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Drive alignment across teams and bring clarity to cross-functional initiatives.
• Mentor and support other designers, contributing to their growth and overall design team quality.
• Champion high standards of craft and user experience across the organization.
• Use customer insights, data, and experimentation to inform design decisions and improve outcomes.
• Lead design critiques and foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.
