Backend Software Engineer, Driver Validation

Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company focused on building the Waymo Driver, the world's most experienced driver, to improve mobility access and save lives. • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of backend or infrastructure experience

We prefer:

• Experience with C++ or willingness to participate in professional development to stay current
• Experience working in environments including nontechnical team members
• Experience with operations tooling, developer productivity, or developer tools

• Help build and evolve mission-critical horizontal infrastructure and tooling underpinning all commercialization systems
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to develop systems and processes as business needs grow and evolve
• Help scale systems to meet demands of commercial expansion and growing complexity
• Solve real-world problems such as world simulation for regression testing and evaluation of software services managing autonomous vehicle fleets
