Executive Search Lead - Technology

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Their platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. The company is founder-led, profitable, and operates a global distributed collaboration model with 1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries, mostly remote roles.

• Professional experience in headhunting from a reputable executive search firm or in-house search function within the Technology industry.
• Knowledge of tools for identifying future talent including market mapping.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with SQL or Python.
• Experience conducting behavioural, competency-based interviews and training stakeholders.
• Exposure or appreciation of psychometric assessments.
• Exceptional academic background including a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or a people-based subject and good level of Maths from High School.
• High level of personal organisation for effective remote work.
• Willingness to travel 2-4 times a year for company events.

Other skills:

• Experience with advanced analytical and statistical data analysis.
• Exposure to Greenhouse ATS, Thomas International, and DISC profiling.
• Knowledge of psychometric validity and reliability metrics.

• Develop a search strategy ensuring smooth pipeline movement for headhunted talent.
• Coach senior leadership teams to improve hiring outcomes and talent attraction.
• Drive talent analytics using SQL or Python to provide real-time insights and identify trends.
• Conduct in-depth behavioural talent interviews to gain insights into motivations and behaviours.
• Build relationships with global stakeholders to deliver hiring agenda and ensure consistency in operational processes.
• Continuously improve hiring processes and outcomes.
• Promote diversity and inclusion by removing unconscious bias and supporting inclusive sourcing strategies.
