Senior Data Engineer

• 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer within financial services or other regulated industries.
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server and Azure SQL in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and migrating ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Experience supporting regulatory or financial reporting platforms (SSRS, Crystal Reports).
• Practical experience with Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2).
• Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and enterprise data warehouse design.
• Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience implementing data quality controls, reconciliation processes, and governance standards.
• Familiarity with secure data integration patterns and controlled access environments.
• Experience supporting Power BI reporting in regulated environments.
• Language requirements: Polish (expert), English (advanced).

Enterprise Data Engineering:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Azure data services.
• Modernize legacy ETL processes (including SSIS) and migrate on-premise workloads to secure cloud environments.
• Develop robust batch and near real-time data processing solutions supporting risk, finance, and operational reporting.

Data Architecture & Regulatory Alignment:

• Design and enhance Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures using dimensional modelling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Contribute to enterprise data architecture aligned with banking standards and governance frameworks.
• Produce and maintain Solution Design Documentation (SDD) in line with internal architecture review processes.

Database Management & Performance:

• Optimize and manage MS SQL Server / Azure SQL environments for performance, resilience, and availability.
• Ensure database solutions meet banking SLAs, auditability, and disaster recovery requirements.

Reporting & Financial Data Integration:

• Support and modernize regulatory and operational reporting platforms (SSRS, Crystal Reports).
• Integrate data from internal banking systems, third-party APIs, secure file transfers (SFTP), and privileged access platforms (e.g., CyberArk).
