Wymagania
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or compelling alternative path
- Proven ability to lead multiple or large teams of software engineers to deliver outstanding results
- Engineering experience in at least one of: CRM/ERP systems, Python, data engineering/governance, or distributed integrations
- Track record of exceeding expectations to achieve outstanding results
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- Result-oriented with personal drive to meet commitments
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
Nice-to-have skills:
- Performance engineering and DevOps/SRE experience
- Experience with compliance
Obowiązki
- Lead multiple engineering teams ranging from graduates to seniors
- Develop engineering managers to maintain Canonical culture in their teams
- Develop and evangelize great engineering practices and processes
- Set and implement performance management with goals and objectives for direct reports and teams
- Identify and measure indicators of team health and take action as needed
- Be accountable for product development roadmaps in the teams
- Participate actively in the Commercial Systems leadership team and collaborate with other leaders
- Expand teams by hiring great talent
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product users
Business Systems team responsibilities:
- Manage systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and others
- Work closely with operations teams
- Implement business processes and maintain system compliance
- Deliver first-class experience to Canonical employees using these systems
Data Lake team responsibilities:
- Build a comprehensive data mesh solution with secure and well-governed access to data sets from internal and external sources
- Work with open-source tools such as Trino, Ranger, and Superset
- Develop tooling to facilitate data governance processes
Integrations team responsibilities:
- Manage integrations between internal and external systems
- Onboard new data sources to the data mesh
- Design, develop, and operate Python workflows using Temporal workflow orchestration engine
- Integrate data sources using open-source ETL solution Airbyte
