Senior Kong Engineer

The role is within the Platform Engineering team of the client, focusing on scaling and operating an API platform across hybrid cloud environments with AWS and/or Azure.

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Kong Gateway, including at least 1 year with Kong Konnect in production
• Previous experience in platform engineering or infrastructure team
• In-depth understanding of API management, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, especially managing ingress and services via Kong Gateway
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows
• Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT
• Proficient in scripting and automation with Bash and Python
• Fluent in English and Polish (minimum B2 level)
