Head of Cloud Device Protection

The Head of Cloud Device Protection at HSBC Technology Poland is responsible for developing and leading policies and strategies to protect devices and processes hosted in cloud ecosystems such as cattle, containers, and serverless environments. The role ensures alignment with HSBC Cloud strategies and effective operation of capabilities across different cloud environments.

• Background in information systems, technology, architecture, design, and service delivery of defense-in-depth capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex and technical issues clearly to diverse audiences, both orally and in writing.
• Technology or engineering background with understanding of Technology Delivery Lifecycle, engineering practices, infrastructure, tooling, and architecture & design principles.
• Deep subject matter expertise in containers.
• Experience working in a highly regulated, large multinational environment.
• Ability to understand business impact of security decisions and align initiatives with business needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with areas inside and outside of cyber.

• Manage relationships with key stakeholders within relevant Cloud Service Provider Teams at HSBC.
• Review coverage and compliance across cloud environments and escalate issues as required.
• Collaborate with other cloud-related security teams including Security Operations, Incident Management, and Cloud Security to ensure coordinated decision-making.
• Track and oversee completion of formal risk tickets.
• Respond to queries from audits and regulators regarding protections in place and their effectiveness.
• Analyze available data related to issues, including native logs or captured telemetry, to assist in driving issue remediations.
