Scala Developer (Spark)

Scalo delivers software projects and supports partners in business development. They create software that supports change, faster operations, and better results. Their areas include technology consulting, software development, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated development teams.

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Big Data
• Very good knowledge of Spark, Scala, Hive, and SQL
• Experience working with large data sets and data processing pipelines
• Experience with tools such as Python, Java, CI/CD, DevOps, or Airflow
• Experience working with production systems and attention to code quality
• Fluent communication in English (B2+/C1)

Nice to have:

• Experience in banking or financial projects

• Working on a project in the investment banking sector related to processing and analyzing large data sets
• Designing and developing solutions for collecting, processing, and transforming large volumes of data
• Creating and developing data processing workflows using Spark and Scala
• Developing and maintaining data processing pipelines while ensuring their performance and reliability
• Participating in code reviews and jointly developing best practices within the team
• Working on Big Data solutions and developing data processing architecture
• Hybrid work: 2–3 days per week from the office in Warsaw
