Senior SAP ABAP Software Engineer

SoftServe is a global digital solutions company headquartered in Austin, Texas, founded in 1993. The Platforms Center of Excellence is a team of top-tier experts focused on specialized practices, platforms, and technologies. The team works on SAP implementation initiatives, development of extensions for S/4HANA, technical assessments, and expert-level coaching of developers. The role is for a strategic project with a key client, a global manufacturing company.

• 5+ years of ABAP development experience including SAP RAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, enhancement frameworks, and performance optimization
• Proficient in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, CDS Views, and OData services
• Experience with S/4HANA and SAP ECC, with expertise in logistics modules such as PM, MM, PP, WM, EWM, TM
• Ability to partner with business users from manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and shipment departments
• Experience supporting S/4HANA upgrade and migration projects
• Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts to technical, functional teams, and business stakeholders
• Experience in testing, maintaining, and supporting custom code
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and SAP architecture
• Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive for innovation in SAP environments

• Design, develop, and implement complex ABAP customizations, enhancements, and extensions
• Build innovative SAP solutions using modern SAP tools and methodologies
• Support the development, operation, and maintenance of Manufacturing Technology SAP solutions across multiple product teams
• Manage and resolve incidents related to SAP solutions
• Assist and ensure the stability of an existing custom-built solution including SAP standard elements
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional and cross-location teams
• Support integration and migration activities for S/4HANA
