Computer Vision Engineer

NASK SCIENCE, operating within NASK, conducts research and development in cybersecurity, computer science, and artificial intelligence. The team develops technology serving society, addressing social and commercial challenges through scientific innovation. Projects include detecting misinformation in social networks, developing nationwide cybersecurity systems, and creating AI algorithms supporting complex surgical operations, identity verification, and sports movement analysis.

• Technical education in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related fields
• Experience in computer vision and machine learning projects
• Programming skills in Python and automation of data processing with scripts
• Experience working with image or video data and knowledge of image processing libraries
• Ability to train deep learning models on image data
• Experience with large datasets
• Ability to evaluate ML model quality and interpret metrics
• Knowledge of biometric systems
• Experience in research and development work
• Preparing experiments, benchmarks, documentation, and reports
• Attention to detail in data annotation and verification
• English language skills for reading and creating technical documentation and publications

Nice to have:

• Experience training deep learning and computer vision models
• Knowledge of feature extraction and image representation methods
• Knowledge of biometric data annotation and validation methods
• Experience with detection, segmentation, object tracking, and embedding comparison projects
• Interest in biometric systems and data security issues

• Preparing, organizing, and validating image and video datasets
• Creating and maintaining data processing pipelines
• Implementing and testing deep learning models
• Preparing data processing pipelines for images and biometric data
• Analyzing data quality and building training datasets
• Optimizing models for performance
• Validating and evaluating systems using metrics such as FAR, FRR, ROC
• Collaborating on experiments with object recognition, detection, segmentation, face recognition, and other biometric systems
• Automating data processing and dataset preparation
• Monitoring latest scientific and technological trends in computer vision and biometrics
