This position is within the Default Management technology team focusing on operational excellence, reliability, and performance of Oracle Database and ETL solutions. It is a senior/expert-level role dedicated to operational activities within a DevOps framework.


Wymagania

Must-have knowledge and experience:

  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle DB and ETL operations and support, including proficiency in writing and optimizing database queries.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture, performance, and database administration.
  • Experience with Linux infrastructure and environment management.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Git, and database change management tools (Liquibase, Flyway).
  • Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and alerting systems (e.g., Splunk).

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in financial services or banking applications.
  • Leveraging AI capabilities such as Github Copilot to streamline and improve operational workflows.

Obowiązki

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full, hands-on ownership from business delivery readiness to production run, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Provide daily, hands-on operational support, including monitoring, troubleshooting, problem management, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive clear, timely communication with all relevant parties regarding incidents, resolutions, and ongoing operational matters.

Operational Support & Monitoring:

  • Accept, analyze, and resolve support tickets for Oracle DB and ETL solution.
  • Monitor database and ETL job performance, system health, and business process flows.
  • Conduct proactive system health checks and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage incident response and coordinate with stakeholders during critical issues.

Problem Management & Analysis:

  • Troubleshoot complex issues in pre-production and production environments, including parallel production environments.
  • Perform root cause analysis as part of structured problem management.
  • Analyse Oracle logs, ETL job logs, and system alerts using monitoring tools.
  • Document solutions and maintain a knowledge base for recurring issues.

Release & Deployment Operations:

  • Execute database and ETL deployments following ITIL processes.
  • Coordinate release activities across multiple environments (Pre-Prod, Production).
  • Manage deployment schedules and communicate with business stakeholders.
  • Perform post-deployment verification and rollback procedures when necessary.

Location: Gdańsk, Gdynia or Warsaw with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days in the office.
