Senior AI Engineer (AI/ML)

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role is within the Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Technology team, working on flagship AI and ML projects transforming the Credit and Lending landscape.

• Proven experience in a senior engineering role with a track record of leading technical projects and mentoring others.
• Strong expertise in Python and the ML/AI ecosystem; Java knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), vector databases, key-value stores (Redis), and Pub/Sub systems.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, observability, API design, and concurrency models.
• Deep understanding of LLM architectures and fine-tuning models.
• Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and agentic architectures.
• Solid background in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
• Proficiency with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GCP Cloud Build.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills in English, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

• Design and develop scalable, robust AI/ML solutions aligned with platform vision.
• Lead engineering execution for key AI projects, from technical design to production deployment.
• Write and maintain high-quality, testable, and reusable code.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Champion coding standards and AI best practices for fairness, transparency, and accountability.
• Drive technical strategy by evaluating and prototyping new technologies (e.g., RAG techniques, LLM optimization, agentic architectures).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and implement advanced AI solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases.
