Platform Engineer

We are looking for experienced team players to fill the position of Platform Engineer and participate in our up-and-coming project for our client from pharmaceutical industry.

• M.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Practical, production experience operating Kubeflow Pipelines.
• Proven experience deploying and operating Kubernetes workloads including upgrades, autoscaling, RBAC, networking, and reliability.
• Strong Unix/Linux fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch; RDS a plus).
• Strong Terraform skills and Git-based workflows.
• Practical experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Solid Python and/or shell scripting skills.
• Experience with logging, metrics, and tracing tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic).
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate effectively.

Nice to have:

• Experience with MLflow, Feast, Argo, Airflow, Ray, and model versioning/monitoring.
• Familiarity with S3/object storage, artifact registries, and basic SQL/NoSQL.
• Experience with digital pathology or large-scale image processing and tools like OpenSlide, scikit-image, or OpenCV.
• Experience tuning high-throughput pipelines and integrating GPUs/accelerators.
• Experience with VPC design, ingress/egress, service meshes, secrets management, IAM, and policy as code.
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GxP), including data governance and privacy.
• Experience with Jira/Zendesk and JavaScript/TypeScript for internal tools or dashboards.

• Operate Kubeflow Pipelines for reproducible ML workflows at scale.
• Deploy and operate workloads on Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS), including upgrades, autoscaling, RBAC, networking, and reliability.
• Design secure, cost-aware architectures using AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch; RDS a plus).
• Use Terraform and Git-based workflows for repeatable infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Implement CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI), including artifact management, environment promotion, and progressive delivery.
• Automate platform tasks using Python and/or shell scripting.
• Implement logging, metrics, and tracing with SLOs, alerts, and runbooks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, and New Relic.
• Lead technical initiatives and collaborate with engineering and science teams.
