Business Analyst Intern - Risk Models & Calculations - Młodzi w Łodzi 2026

CommerzBank offers a summer internship as part of the “Youth in Lodz” program aimed at students and graduates of Lodz universities to gain professional experience. The internship is within the Cluster Risk Models & Calculations, responsible for development, roll-out, and maintenance of group-wide models for credit risk, operational risk, capital requirements, and stress-testing, as well as implementation of models in calculation kernels and risk applications.

• Master degree or last year of studies in economics, finance & accounting, econometrics, mathematics, or related field
• Interest in banking, economics, statistics, IT, or related field
• Good acquaintance with MS Office tools – Excel and Word
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Good analytic thinking with attention to details
• English B2 level (business language)

Nice to have:

• Basic knowledge of VBA and/or Python
• Some professional experience, e.g., during internships

• Maintenance and development of risk applications (e.g., credit rating applications, operational risk tool, loss data collection database)
• Working closely with software developers and application users
• Conducting technical, business, and data quality analyses
• Leading meetings with stakeholders
• Analyzing risk management and regulatory requirements and implementing adjustments into tools and processes
• Solving business and model-related problems and supporting technical fixes
• Managing documentation of business requirements, application guidelines, and design goals
• Working on process improvements using agile methodologies

The internship is part of the “Youth in Lodz” program, open to students or graduates (up to one year after graduation) of Lodz public or non-public universities, up to 30 years old, after the second year of technical, mathematical, business, finance, economic, or related studies.
