Senior Backend Developer (Java)

Power Media specializes in recruiting professionals in the IT and related industries since 1997. • Over 7 years of experience in Java software development
• Experience designing and building distributed systems and microservice architecture
• Practical knowledge of designing and developing REST APIs
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases
• Knowledge of cloud environments (experience with GCP is a plus)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid knowledge of design patterns and engineering best practices
• Experience in quality assurance (testing, code review, best practices)
• Very good English language skills for daily work in an international environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with Java 21+
• Experience with other languages (e.g., .NET, Python, Node.js)
• Experience working with large-scale and high-availability systems

• Designing and developing scalable backend systems and APIs
• Co-responsibility for quality, performance, and security of solutions
• Collaborating with product, analytics, and other technology teams in an international environment
• Identifying and solving complex technical problems
• Conducting code reviews and actively improving software quality
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members
• Influencing architecture direction and selection of tools and technologies
• Participating in technological decisions and co-creating engineering standards
