Junior Ruby Developer

KOLEO is the largest seller of train tickets in Poland. Their mobile applications and portal are used daily by over 200,000 people to quickly and conveniently plan their trips and buy tickets for trains or buses. KOLEO offers a full timetable of all passenger rail carriers in Poland and tickets from national and regional carriers, as well as major bus carriers. The company currently employs 60 people and focuses on maintaining a small, independent, agile, and solidly operating team.

• Ability to program in Ruby.
• Practical knowledge of Rails.
• Habit and skill in writing tests.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to develop professionally.
• Fluent knowledge of the Polish language.

Nice to have:

• Interest in trains.

• Develop new features and maintain the existing backend project written in Rails.
• Participate in code reviews through Pull Requests.
• Ensure code quality via CI checks, including tests and Rubocop style enforcement.
• Rotate between creating new functions and improving legacy code to support team development.
• Address and improve untested and complex legacy code when possible.
