Software Engineer - EVM - Crypto & Onchain

It is a fully remote company with employees in over 70 countries, developing premium crypto products for traders, institutions, and newcomers. The Crypto team integrates Kraken’s systems with various cryptocurrencies and blockchains, supporting crypto operations including deposits, withdrawals, and staking.

• At least 4 years of backend development experience
• Solid expertise in the Ethereum stack, with hands-on experience in smart contract development using Solidity
• Strong backend development skills with Typescript (Node.js) and/or Rust
• Understanding of cryptographic principles and security best practices for EVM-based systems
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and GNU/Linux environments
• Proficiency with Git and testing frameworks for automated testing and unit tests
• Passion for blockchain development, focusing on Ethereum, EVM, L2s, and decentralized technologies
• A proactive and adaptable mindset for dynamic challenges in a fast-paced environment

The Opportunity:

• Integrate existing systems with new blockchains
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, secure applications and data protection systems
• Write highly scalable, high volume services
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and optimize database schemas
• Own, develop, and maintain existing crypto services
