Staff Software Engineer, React Native

• 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep, hands-on expertise in React Native
• Proven experience building cross-platform mobile products targeting iOS, Android, and web
• Ideally have led or contributed to a migration from native iOS/Android to React Native
• Strong understanding of iOS and Android platform fundamentals
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and developing team capabilities
• Proficient in English

• Define and drive the technical direction and architecture of Box's React Native migration
• Coach and upskill mobile engineers, embedding React Native best practices across the team
• Collaborate, influence, and drive alignment across mobile, web, product, and platform teams
• Attend and engage in weekly stand ups, team meetings, and manager 1:1s
• Model solid engineering practices around architectural design, testability, scalability, and maintainability
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the mobile roadmap
• Contribute hands-on code (~20% of time) on the most architecturally critical areas
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to and triage issues
