Mobile Automation Tester | Deloitte Digital

Deloitte is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to design the test architecture for shipping confidently at Olympic scale, focusing on the test pyramid from unit to E2E tests.

• 2+ years in test automation (web and/or mobile)
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (web automation)
• Experience in API testing (REST, GraphQL)
• Experience or willingness to learn mobile automation (Appium or equivalent)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
• Understanding of test pyramid and trade-offs
• Knowledge of test doubles (mocks, stubs)
• Basic contract testing concepts
• Practical debugging skills including logs, browser devtools, and network analysis

• Own the test pyramid (unit → integration → API → E2E) and build robust automation
• Wire automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Design, build, and evolve scalable automation frameworks across Web/UI (Playwright), Mobile (Appium or equivalent), and API layers (REST/GraphQL; contract testing such as Pact is a plus)
• Integrate automation into CI/CD with parallelization, retries, artifacts, and dashboards; enforce quality gates
• Manage data and environments including seeding, configuration, mocks, and stubs for external dependencies
• Deliver actionable quality signals such as coverage, pass/fail trends, flake rate, and time-to-result in PRs and pipelines
• Coach developers to write better unit and integration tests and promote quality as a team effort
