Senior PHP Engineer

Lendable is a fintech company on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. It is one of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people, profitable since 2017, and backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. The company has rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards, and car finance, aiming to serve the UK and US markets with modern financial products.

• Modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ required)
• Proficiency with a modern PHP framework such as Symfony or Laravel
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing is a significant plus
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and financial systems is a bonus
• Strong automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional)
• Desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute within a highly collaborative team
• High degree of ownership and autonomy
• Experience in a cross-functional environment is a plus but not essential

• Build and integrate new APIs to enhance the customer journey
• Optimize lending platforms
• Participate in deep architectural discussions to shape product futures
• Work across UK, US, and International Expansion product teams including Zable Card, Autolend, Lendable Loans, and Internal Tools teams
