Senior AI Engineer

Simon-Kucher is building a central Data & AI function to enable employees with AI solutions and build central AI use cases that ensure consultants work smarter and better. The Senior AI Engineer will design, build, and operate production-grade internal AI applications embedding Simon-Kucher methods into reusable capabilities, delivering secure and measurable outcomes in partnership with AI Product Managers and IT Ops.

• 4–6+ years of relevant engineering experience (software engineering, ML engineering, or applied AI engineering).
• Experience in leading technical projects and ownership of technical solutions.
• Strong Python skills, including API development and integration patterns.
• Deep hands-on experience delivering LLM-based solutions with LangChain and/or LangGraph or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Comfortable with production practices including testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and operational support.
• University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Clear communication in English (C1+) and ability to align technical decisions with business constraints.
• Knowledge of Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms.
• Consulting background or understanding of professional services delivery models.
• Experience with Azure ecosystem (AI Foundry, Container Apps, Functions).
• Familiarity with pricing, revenue management, market research industry or willingness to learn domain expertise.

• Design and implement LangGraph/LangChain multi-step workflows (RAG, tool calling, multi-step orchestration, structured outputs).
• Integrate with internal data via APIs/connectors and automate end-to-end flows using Power Automate across Microsoft 365.
• Build evaluation datasets, define quality metrics, run regression tests, and implement observability/tracing (LangSmith and/or Azure AI Foundry tooling).
• Implement guardrails for prompt injection/data exfiltration, handle PII redaction, and align with retention/audit requirements with IT and security stakeholders.
• Build reusable libraries (prompt/versioning patterns, artifact generators, question banks, retrieval components) to accelerate use case development.
• Support central functions (HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Knowledge Management) in deploying Power Automate workflows with AI capabilities.
