ML and Graphics Architect/Lead.

AMD is a company focused on building products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences including AI, data centers, PCs, gaming, and embedded systems. The role is part of the Applied Research and Engineering team working with the latest hardware and software technology.

• Leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution.
• Proficient in English.
• Strong object-oriented programming background; C/C++ and Python preferred.
• Ability to write high quality code with keen attention to detail.
• Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating system development.
• Experience with software development tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub), and profilers is a plus.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Motivating leader with good interpersonal skills.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science (especially Graphics and/or Machine Learning), Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve the performance of key applications and benchmarks.
• Work as a member of a core team of industry specialists.
• Apply knowledge of 3D game graphics and ray tracing using GPU Compute and Graphics APIs like Direct3D 12+, Vulkan, OpenCL, CUDA.
• Utilize proficiency in machine learning, especially ML model architecture and image upscaling.
• Program in low level languages (x86 asm, SSE, ISA).
• Use general software development workflow tools: git, cmake, CI.
• Expert programming skills in C and/or C++.
• Understand machine learning techniques and their application within graphics.
• Communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
