AI UX/UI Senior Designer

Virtusa is looking for a specialized AI UX/UI Senior Engineer to join their design practice in Poland. The role focuses on Human-AI Interaction (HAI), designing interfaces for next-generation copilots, chatbots, and recommendation engines. The candidate will be responsible for creating intuitive, trust-based experiences that bridge complex AI logic and user-centric design, ensuring transparency, explainability, and high adoption across enterprise applications.

• 6–8 years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise-grade applications.
• Experience in AI/ML-driven products is highly preferred.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma (including advanced components, variables, and auto-layout).
• Proficiency in Sketch or Adobe XD.
• Strong conceptual understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, and Recommendation Systems.
• Knowledge of latency, non-determinism, and data grounding concepts.
• Experience in designing explainable UI (XUI).
• Deep experience in qualitative and quantitative user research and analytics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of WCAG 2.1+ standards for accessibility.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React/Next.js) consuming AI APIs.
• Strong visual design skills including typography, color theory, and layout.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills.
• Professional English (C1) proficiency.
• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field.

• Design interfaces for conversational interfaces (chatbots), sidecar "copilot" patterns, and automated decision-support systems.
• Define how users interact with "black box" AI systems, ensuring transparency and explainability.
• Work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, utilizing Jira for task management and design handoffs.
• Articulate the rationale behind design decisions to technical teams and business stakeholders.
