Software Engineer (Java)

Visa's Technology Organization operates the world's most sophisticated processing networks handling over 65,000 secure transactions per second across 80 million merchants and 15,000 financial institutions. The organization focuses on complex distributed systems, new payment flows, business and data solutions, cybersecurity, and B2C platforms.

• University degree or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Approximately 2-4 years of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge and ability in web browser optimization.
• Knowledge of user interface design and providing optimal UI experiences.
• Proficiency in back-end programming languages, specifically Java.
• Ability to develop and utilize APIs for software components interaction.
• Growth mindset, curiosity, and passion for technology.
• Experience building and deploying modern services and web applications with quality and scalability.
• Willingness to learn new technologies such as Angular, React, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Test, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams.

• Support relationship with product owners to gather and refine requirements for product tasks, considering existing tools and solutions.
• Develop and design architectural solutions, including integrations with other solutions.
• Provide knowledge for the development of technical documentation and follow best practices.
• Participate in the development and delivery of new product features.
• Design code and systems impacting 40% of the world population, influencing Visa's standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
• Contribute to product quality improvements, value-added service technology, and new business flows in agile squads.
• Develop robust and scalable products for end-user merchants, B2B, and business-to-government solutions.
• Leverage innovative technologies to build next-generation Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology.
• Engage in mentorship and continued learning opportunities.
