AI Product Engineer (Design)

Tooploox is part of Solvd Inc, with a team of nearly 200 specialists including a 40+ person R&D team with many PhDs. They create AI-powered products and services across industries such as healthcare and e-commerce, publishing research in venues like NeurIPS and ICML. The AI Client Innovation team focuses on turning new AI capabilities into practical solutions for clients, shipping usable increments rapidly.

• Strong product design ability with front-end implementation skills.
• Fluency with AI-assisted design and development tools including coding agents, Figma AI tools (Make, MCPs, plugins), and bidirectional design-to-code workflows.
• Curiosity and creativity demonstrated by side projects and experimentation.
• Clear communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem discovery instincts to identify real problems and question assumed solutions.
• Client-facing confidence to run demos and handle feedback.
• Comfort with ambiguity, speed, and context switching across multiple projects.
• Strong opinions on AI UX and ideas about good AI interactions.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing for LLM-powered products such as chat interfaces, copilots, and agents.
• Background in design systems or component libraries.

• Own the design and front-end implementation of increments from concept through build and demo.
• Build in code using HTML, CSS, React, or other technologies to ship designs without waiting on engineers.
• Use coding agents and agentic engineering workflows to accelerate development.
• Partner with Pre-sales, GTM, and product discovery teams to understand client problems and constraints.
• Make design tradeoffs balancing polish with speed.
• Define and evolve AI UX patterns reusable across projects.
• Spot effective and ineffective interaction patterns and document them for the team.
• Ensure increments are coherent and usable, not just functional.
