Software Design Engineer

Evertz Microsystems (TSX:ET) is a leading global manufacturer of broadcast equipment and solutions that deliver content to television sets, on-demand services, WebTV, IPTV, and mobile devices. Evertz provides complete end-to-end broadcast solutions for content creation, distribution, and delivery. Their products are used in major broadcast facilities worldwide and their customer base includes telcos, satellite, cable TV, and IPTV providers. The company operates agile, low-bureaucracy, cross-functional teams globally and is expanding its engineering presence to Poland.

• 3+ years professional software development experience, including C/C++14 programming skills
• Background in embedded systems (firmware development, hardware interfaces, embedded Linux)
• Structured, object-oriented design and programming techniques
• General understanding of Linux programming
• Understanding of network technologies (sockets, TCP/UDP/RTP, multicast/unicast)
• Experience or interest in Linux device drivers, Ethernet networking, x86 architecture, PCI Express, USB
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in computer science or equivalent
• Results oriented, self-motivated, and a team player
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

• Audio and video experience

• Design and enhance the latest broadcast video equipment incorporating advanced technology as a member of the video router team.
