C++/UE5 Developer

Byte Barrel is a game development studio based in Gdańsk, operating since 2017. They have released the games "Forgive Me Father" and its sequel "Forgive Me Father 2". Their projects are developed using Unreal Engine, with a team experienced in game development.

• Minimum one completed commercial project
• At least 2 years of experience programming in C++ and Unreal Engine
• Proficient knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine 5
• Understanding of game architectures and basic design patterns
• Proactive attitude
• Proficiency in Polish and English sufficient for technical documentation
• Experience with version control systems, specifically GIT
• Ability to work in a team and manage tasks independently

Nice to have:

• Experience developing projects for multiple platforms (PC, consoles, VR)
• Experience with multiplayer game development
• Knowledge of networking technologies in Unreal Engine
• Knowledge of multithreaded programming
• Familiarity with AI mechanisms in UE5
• Knowledge of animation and physics systems in UE5
• Understanding of rendering and graphics optimization
• Experience creating custom tools and plugins for Unreal Engine
• Ability to apply design patterns and best practices in game programming

• Participate in planning and designing new game ideas
• Implement new game mechanics and elements using Unreal Engine 5 (C++/Blueprint)
• Develop existing projects including code optimization, version upgrades, and bug fixing
• Create and develop tools supporting game production
• Solve ongoing technical problems and provide technical support to the team
• Analyze and implement best practices in game coding and architecture
