EDI Consultant - Business Analyst

We are looking for an EDI Consultant / Business Analyst to join a project in the retail/e-commerce domain for a German client. The role focuses on EDI integrations, EDIFACT mappings, and guideline creation, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure correct data exchange and process alignment.

• Strong hands-on experience with EDIFACT (must-have)
• Experience with GEFEC (guideline creation)
• Knowledge of EANCOM standards
• Experience in logical mapping of EDIFACT messages
• Experience with EDI integration in SAP environments (ERMCOM or similar)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a distributed environment

Nice to have:

• Experience in retail or e-commerce projects
• Previous work with German clients
• Understanding of end-to-end EDI processes
• German language

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into EDI/EDIFACT solutions
• Design and maintain EDIFACT message structures and mappings
• Create and manage EDI guidelines using GEFEC
• Perform logical mapping of EDIFACT messages within applications
• Work with EANCOM standards and ensure compliance
• Support integration of ERMCOM EDI formats with SAP systems
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and external partners
• Troubleshoot EDI issues and ensure data quality and consistency
