Senior QA Engineer — AI-Driven Testing / Playwright / Enablement

blue veery GmbH is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to establish modern AI-assisted testing processes within a product team for their client. The role involves building testing infrastructure from scratch and transferring knowledge to developers to enable them to independently ensure code quality.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA, including at least 3 years in automation
• Strong practical knowledge of Playwright (preferred) or comparable frameworks (Cypress, Selenium) with readiness to work in Playwright
• Experience in backend E2E testing (API, GraphQL, microservices)
• Documented experience in building testing infrastructure and processes from scratch
• Ability to work with AI tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar) in QA context and understand when AI is helpful or obstructive
• Enablement/coaching skills with experience guiding developers or juniors towards quality autonomy
• English communication skills at minimum B2+ level (written and spoken)

• Design and implement AI-driven testing approaches using modern AI tools (Claude, Cursor, tool-agnostic approach)
• Build automation framework with Playwright for frontend and backend E2E testing
• Create and maintain testing infrastructure and integrate it with CI/CD pipelines
• Coach developers to support independent test writing and quality decision-making
• Define testing strategies, prioritize test coverage, and apply risk-based approaches
• Establish quality metrics and scalable testing processes within the team
