Onform Finance - Technology Lead (Low-Code, Data & Automation)

OnForm Finance provides outsourced finance services including bookkeeping, management accounting, financial control, and fractional CFO support to businesses with up to £20M in revenue. The team consists of experienced finance professionals based across the UK, Europe, and Asia. The company is investing in technology to improve operations using AI and low-code tools.

• Proven experience shipping software with AI tools as a core part of workflow (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable, etc.)
• Experience building with modern low-code and no-code platforms (Airtable, Zapier, n8n, Make) and knowing when to use real code
• Strong hands-on experience with APIs and integrations, ideally including Xero, Shopify, or payment processors
• Solid data engineering skills including building/maintaining data warehouses, writing SQL, and modeling financial data
• Experience setting up security procedures, access controls, and data governance for sensitive data
• Ability to translate complex business and financial requirements into technical solutions and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills to drive tool adoption
• Proven experience with Xero API integration

Nice to have:

• Experience building tools for accounting, finance, or ecommerce operations
• Hands-on work with Claude or Anthropic APIs, agentic workflows, or AI orchestration frameworks
• Experience leading full tech stack audits or change programs
• Experience designing internal tools that non-technical users adopt and enjoy
• Portfolio of fast-shipped projects such as side projects, prototypes, or micro-SaaS

• Design and build internal tools such as AI-powered reporting, automated reconciliations, client-facing dashboards, and operational workflows
• Prototype quickly using AI and low-code tools (Claude, Lovable, Gemini Workspace AI, Cursor, Airtable, Zapier, n8n) and develop production-ready solutions
• Establish a central data warehouse integrating data from Xero, Shopify, Stripe, and other client sources
• Define and implement security procedures, access controls, and incident response for client financial data
• Implement data governance including classification, retention, segmentation, and audit trails
• Collaborate with leadership and team leads to map processes and identify high-impact technology opportunities
• Train the team, develop playbooks, and promote technology adoption
• Own the technology roadmap including build-versus-buy decisions and vendor management

• This is a contractor role; candidates are responsible for their own tax procedures in their country of residence
