Lead Full Stack Java Developer

Join EPAM Systems as a Lead Full Stack Java Developer and take ownership of building high-performance cloud-native systems for a global leader in the financial sector. As a technical leader, you will guide an international team, drive architectural decisions and leverage the latest Java/Spring, React and Azure technologies.

You will be working for a major financial institution in the capital markets domain. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining modern digital platforms that support key operations in investment banking.

This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wrocław, Poland.

• 8+ years of Java development experience with strong Spring Boot expertise
• 4+ years of front-end development with ReactJS (Angular experience is also acceptable)
• 3+ years of hands-on CI/CD pipeline engineering
• 3+ years of experience building Azure cloud-native systems (AKS, Functions, App Services, etc.)
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and driving technical decisions
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs and cloud security fundamentals
• Experience with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes/AKS

Nice to have:

• Experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation

• Lead the design, development and deployment of backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Oversee the creation of intuitive front-end components with ReactJS
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage)
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and safe releases across environments
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering best practices in software engineering and DevOps
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver low-latency, high-reliability solutions
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation initiatives (Terraform experience is a plus)
