Short Form Video Editor

Galaktus Publishing is preparing for the release of an upcoming game and is seeking a video editor to create short-form video content for social media platforms.

• Strong understanding of current short-form video trends and formats
• Ability to create engaging, high-retention content with viral potential
• Familiarity with the gaming industry and player expectations
• Sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual clarity in gameplay content
• Experience with video editing tools (e.g. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut)
• Portfolio required or willingness to complete a short test task

Nice to have:

• Experience working with indie games or game marketing
• Basic gameplay capture skills
• Understanding of Steam / game launch marketing and social media/community marketing

• Create short-form video content for social media (TikTok, X, Instagram, YouTube Shorts)
• Edit videos based on provided gameplay footage or own recordings from the game
• Identify and apply current video trends to maximize reach and engagement
• Craft content with strong viral potential targeted at gaming audiences
• Select and present gameplay moments to tell a story and capture player attention
