Software Security Backend Engineer (Node)

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role involves joining a client team to design, build, and scale security-driven backend services using open-source and cloud-native technologies.

• Proven expertise in Python and Node.js with production experience in building and deploying backend services.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, GKE, Filestore) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong experience designing secure architectures, implementing zero trust models, and handling compliance for security-critical systems.
• Familiarity with Go for performance-sensitive components.
• T-shaped profile with deep backend expertise and understanding of the overall stack.
• Experience in building event-driven systems and microservices in large-scale environments.

• Design and implement scalable and secure backend services using Python (Django), Node.js (TypeScript/NestJS), and high-performance components in Go.
• Architect and optimize solutions for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and GCP services such as Cloud Run and Filestore.
• Ensure systems are resilient, observable, and cost-efficient, owning the full lifecycle of services on GCP.
• Implement OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows, apply zero trust security principles, and treat security as a core feature.
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries for high-concurrency environments and design event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub.
• Actively contribute to code reviews and maintain technical standards across the team.
• Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and evangelize DevSecOps best practices.
• Promote automation from the start, reducing toil and streamlining delivery processes.
• Stay aligned with evolving trends in cloud, security, and open-source technologies.
