PHP Developer (Business Financing)

Our client is a U.S.-based fintech company providing financing solutions for small and medium-sized businesses since 2006. Operating as both a direct lender and a marketplace with a trusted network of partners, the company helps business owners access and compare funding options quickly and efficiently. Their mission is to make financing faster, easier, and more accessible through digital solutions.

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• Strong experience with PHP
• Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance systems
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of English from Upper-Intermediate (written and spoken)
• Availability to work during US EST hours (up to 7 PM EST when required)

Nice to have:

• Experience with relational (MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases
• Experience with microservices and backend development using Java, Spring Boot, OpenAPI, or Python
• Experience in the financial industry
• Experience working in Agile environments and leading Agile teams

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and efficient cloud-native services
• Enhance and support API systems to improve decisioning automation
• Collaborate with the team to modernize and evolve the current platform

• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems
