Senior PostgreSQL and Java Developer

Montrose Software is a software consultancy based in New Jersey (USA), with a primary development center in Kraków. They develop mobile apps, web applications, and enterprise systems for a wide variety of clients.

• Strong technical developer with 7+ years hands-on experience
• 5+ years of experience in database technologies, including 2+ years with PostgreSQL
• 3+ years of experience in Java 17+ with Spring and Spring Boot, including unit tests
• 5+ years of experience with version control systems like GitHub
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, Maven, Ansible, GitHub Actions

Nice to have:

• Experience with .NET / C#
• Experience with Open Telemetry
• Experience with XML and XSLT transformations
• Experience with Java reactive programming
• Experience in the Capital Markets domain

• PostgreSQL database configuration, optimization, and schema designing
• Writing well tested Java code
• Configuring and working with database clusters and other technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

Team & Collaboration:

• Work with 3 developers and 2 managers
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings in the afternoon
• Communicate via email and Webex chat
• Working hours usually 9:00–17:00 CET
