Junior Backend Engineer (Python)

OMNIVISER is building an AI-powered Business Operating System that connects all company data to deliver real-time insights, profit projections, and clear decisions. We help leaders cut through data overload and act faster with proactive, context-aware AI that drives measurable business outcomes.

We are currently transitioning from a startup to a scale-up – developing our product, scaling our organization, and preparing for international expansion.

• Basic commercial experience in Python or relevant internship / strong personal projects
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals and backend development principles
• Experience with Django or FastAPI
• Practical knowledge of REST APIs and web application basics
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Git, branches, and pull requests
• Ability to read logs, debug issues, and fix simple bugs
• Willingness to work full-time
• Very good Polish and good English skills
• Availability to work from Warsaw in a hybrid model

Nice to have:

• Technical or quantitative studies (Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar)
• Completed or ongoing university degree (final year students are welcome)
• Courses or certifications in AI, Python, backend, or cloud technologies
• Experience with Docker
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments, preferably Azure
• Interest in AI systems from an engineering and implementation perspective
• Experience with tests (pytest / Django tests)
• Strong self-learning attitude and passion for new technologies

• Develop and maintain backend services in Python (Django / FastAPI)
• Build and improve REST API endpoints for AI-powered products and internal tools
• Support integrations between systems, services, and data sources
• Fix bugs, improve existing code, and implement smaller backend features
• Collaborate with AI, Data, and Frontend teams to ensure clean and scalable solutions
• Work with databases and support the development of data models and validation logic
• Contribute to backend architecture improvements and code quality
• Write simple tests and help maintain application stability
• Learn modern engineering practices in backend development, cloud, and AI systems
