Team Lead – Embedded Linux

• Hands-on experience managing a team and leading projects hands-on from start to finish
• 8+ years of experience in engineering role, with 2+ years in a leadership capacity
• Experience in building applications for Linux-based operating system (ideally for embedded systems) and Linux kernel customization
• Deep knowledge of SW design patterns, architectures, and best practices
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and practices in software development
• Experience with project & delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Gerrit, Jenkins, CI/CD)
• Experience with Yocto Linux distribution is a huge plus
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and manage tasks from a variety of sources
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

System Foundation Management:

• Lead the design, implement and maintain a highly secure and deployable operating system in scalable way among various production lines in our partners
• Own system image creation framework domain for our operating system for Smart TVs
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve performance while keeping the system robustness
• Optimize the image creation workflow to boost development activities
• Report on the system scalability and deployment, incident trends, and team KPIs to leadership
• Collaborate with corporate security & compliance team and our partners to implement best practices in system scalability

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineering professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system scalability related initiatives with organizational priorities
• Prioritize and execute project work to help achieve team goals
• Being self-reliant, with a proactive approach and willingness to share your knowledge with peers
• Stay updated on the latest developments in relevant technologies, equipment, and systems
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance system scalability and performance
• Support R&D prototypes and demos initiatives
