Software Engineer

Carrot Sp. z o.o. is a company based in Warsaw that develops internal IT systems including backend, integrations, data processing, process automation, deployment, and maintenance. Since 2018, it has collaborated with insurance companies to organize the sale of damaged cars on its auction platform, serving tens of thousands of customers and innovating in the industry.

• Understanding of end-to-end systems from request to database and integrations
• Ability to see dependencies between system elements and anticipate effects of changes
• Awareness that IT systems support specific business processes
• Ability to select appropriate solutions without overengineering
• Enjoy solving real technical and business problems
• Ability to use AI tools reasonably in daily work

Nice to have:

• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of Windows Server
• PHP
• Flutter
• Microsoft Azure

• Develop backend and simple frontends for internal systems using Python, Flask, and FastAPI
• Implement integrations and automations using REST, SOAP, and OCR
• Work with databases including PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Deploy and maintain systems using Docker, Linux, CI/CD or manual processes
• Co-create system architecture and IT environment
• Analyze and resolve issues in production environments
• Develop and automate business processes within the company
• Create practical documentation that aids work

Work is hybrid: after the probation period, presence in the Warsaw office is expected 2 days per week.
