Logistics Technician

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) powers cloud services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. The team focuses on environmental sustainability and optimization in data center design and operations.

• High School Diploma and relevant experience in warehouse/supply chain in IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to be on-site; own form of transport advised due to limited public transport.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in warehouse/supply chain in IT environment, IT, and/or logistics.
• Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation or equivalent experience.

• Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume or escalation situations.
• Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices, including handling Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices/spares following SLAs.
• Complete tasks with minimal direct supervision using process knowledge and sound judgment.
• Maintain focus on the impact of work when completing tickets and Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks.
• Maintain accurate logical information within inventory management systems (e.g., configuration management databases, asset management repositories).
• Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
• Help reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
• Perform destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following SLAs and Microsoft policies.
• Notify management about stock shortages and escalate issues.
• Maintain warehouse storage in good condition.
• Comply with security and data management policies.
• Embody Microsoft culture and values.
