Software Engineer 2 (Java / Kotlin) - Platform Team

Flexible working hours in the hybrid model (4/1) - working hours start between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We also have 30 days of occasional remote work.

Our team is based in Poznań.

• Code in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proficient in Linux and managing systems at massive scale.
• Expect meaningful work beyond management-assigned tasks.
• Take pride in code quality, accept comments, and share knowledge during code reviews.
• Automate everything following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) philosophy (e.g., using Ansible).
• Seek effective solutions for business and technical challenges.
• Navigate GitHub and build efficient, developer-friendly CI/CD environments.
• Desire to expand skills into containerization and orchestration.
• Commit to continuous development including software and other domains like Big Data.
• English language proficiency at B2+ level.

• Join a specific team operating like a small, agile startup within a large organization.
• Focus on Developer Experience (DevEx), maintaining core tools and components powering Allegro's software delivery lifecycle.
• Manage a massive self-hosted runners cluster and administrate Github enterprise.
• Build tools that define how code is built and released.
• Work at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure to ensure SDLC is fast, reliable, and scalable.
• Handle Java/Kotlin microservices backed by MongoDB.
• Maintain a central library bridging developers and infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with internal users to ensure seamless CI/CD processes from code to deployment.
• Impact how hundreds of releases are handled across the company daily.
