Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Factory Operations

Autodesk is a company focused on creating software that enables innovation in various industries including green buildings, clean cars, smart factories, and movies. The role is based in Krakow, Poland, and involves leading a strategic engineering team working on cloud-first platforms for Factory Operations with global collaboration across the US, India, and Europe.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in a people management role
• Proven experience leading teams including hiring, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution
• Strong collaboration skills with experience working across distributed, international teams
• Solid technical background in modern cloud-based architectures with ability to guide engineering decisions
• Experience delivering scalable software in a B2B SaaS environment
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Comfortable working across multiple time zones (US and India)
• Flexibility to adjust schedule for global collaboration
• Willingness to travel occasionally (Europe, potentially US or India)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms and modern web technologies
• Background in multi-tenant systems or platform development
• Experience in digital twin, AEC, or industrial/manufacturing domains
• Experience leading teams working on complex, distributed systems

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers focusing on performance management, career growth, and engagement
• Drive hiring and team scaling to ensure a strong and sustainable team structure
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Partner with global teams across time zones to deliver high-quality solutions

• Remove blockers and manage dependencies across teams and regions
• Ensure delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-based solutions
• Support resolution of complex production and customer issues
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes
