Engineering Director (100% Remote within Poland)

Docplanner, formerly known as Doctoralia, is a healthcare technology company empowering patients and doctors by providing access to reviews and booking management technology. Operating in 13 countries, it serves over 90 million patients monthly and employs over 2,500 people globally.

• Solid hands-on experience using AI to accelerate software development, improving code writing, review, and refactoring with strong judgment on AI versus traditional approaches.
• Experience in complex software delivery, including regulated environments where quality and reliability matter.
• Proven technical leadership with consistent delivery of results and raising the bar for others.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, try new approaches, and help others navigate new paths.
• Enjoyment of teaching and mentoring through pairing, retrospectives, and helping others level up.
• Focus on measuring what matters and iterating relentlessly to build faster, better, and more impactful software.
• Bonus: Experience working at scale, with emphasis on thinking, impact, and user outcomes rather than company size.

Lead Through Code (≈75% hands-on):

• Solve real patient engagement and continuity challenges through hands-on coding using AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude.
• Prototype and build solutions showcasing AI-enabled development practices in patient-facing products.
• Work directly in teams' codebases by implementing features and architectural changes.
• Experiment with and establish AI-powered development workflows and teach others through hands-on demonstration.

Drive Transformation & Technical Leadership (≈25%):

• Pioneer new AI-enabled development cycles and practices within the Patient Engagement area and scale successful approaches across engineering.
• Influence developers and the wider Engineering community through results and partnership to adapt to AI-enabled ways of working.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to solve real patient problems end to end.
• Measure and communicate the impact of new approaches using metrics such as delivery speed, quality, developer satisfaction, and product impact.
