Windows System Engineer

• 7+ years of systems engineer experience with Windows and VDI
• Experience engineering, managing, and supporting environments involving VDI (Citrix, RDS) and Microsoft Desktop
• In-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals and group policy
• Experience engineering, managing, and supporting Virtualization Platforms (VMWare ESX, RedHat OCP)
• Experience with PowerShell as primary scripting technology
• Previous enterprise-level experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Advantage to have:

• Experience engineering, managing, and supporting Server platforms (Windows Server 2016+)
• Previous experience working in a financial institution

The candidate will primarily work on VDI and Windows 11 products such as virtual applications and virtual desktops.

The candidate will focus on the Microsoft operating system side/desktop operating side and will engineer on-premises.

70% of the role involves BAU tasks such as deploying new versions of Citrix and Windows, upgrades, and maintaining Windows environments/virtual desktop infrastructure across 80,000 machines globally.

30% of the role involves providing and deploying sustainable and configurable solutions for the existing platform following escalations from BAU tasks.

Engineering and scripting experience is required to provide support and infrastructure solutions for deployment issues.
